Call for Presentations
You are invited to submit proposals that address the conference theme Spheres of Influence: Ventures and Visions in Educational Development for presentations as seminars, workshops, symposia and posters. All proposals must be in English. Presentations will be accepted on the basis of the proposal. In the interest of maximising participation by a broad range of presenters, an individual can be the lead author on one presentation and secondary author on one other presentation.
All presentation proposals should be in two parts.
Part A should include:
- Session title
- Author(s) name, title/position, institution, contact details for principal author (postal address, telephone, facsimile number, email address)
- Title and authors of other proposals in which you are involved
- Author(s) biography (75 words maximum)
Part B should include:
- Session title
- Preferred format of the session
- Intended audience
- Three key words that identify the main themes of the paper
- Objectives/intended outcomes and activities for participants
- An abstract of 200 - 300 words
- For workshops, preferred length (1½ or 2 hours)
If you wish, you may submit a completed paper, in addition to the proposal, for peer review and possible inclusion in the refereed conference publication. The paper can be in the author's language of choice.
If you submit a paper for peer review, Part C should include:
- Paper title
- Abstract 200 - 300 words (repeated)
- Paper - 3000 to 5000 words using 12 point font in Times New Roman or similar
- Referencing in a format of the author's choice
(Note: the author's name(s) should not appear on the paper)
Presentation proposals will be reviewed by an international panel representing ICED constituencies. Criteria by which proposals and papers will be assessed are available to guide the development of your proposal. Presentation proposals and papers must be submitted electronically preferably as attachments in Rich Text Format. This will facilitate faster distribution to reviewers in different parts of the world. The conference organisers may approach proposal writers to request changes in their proposals to better fit conference needs. Presenters should register for the conference as paying participants. No compensation is possible.
Please submit all proposals and full papers to iced2002@csd.uwa.edu.au with Submission in the subject line. All presentation proposals and full papers must be submitted by 14 January, 2002.
Presenters must register by 7 June, 2002 or their presentation will be removed from the program.
