Information Session on Students with Disabilities and Medical Conditions

Content:

  • UWA policies - Equity legislation and policies
  • University resources - outline of University resources, services and support
  • Access and support - policy issues, the achievements of people with disabilities

Benefits:

The course aims to provide information on available resources and to assist you in working with students and/or staff who have disabilities. You will:
  • develop an awareness of issues affecting students and staff with disabilities and the support they may require
  • improve your communication skills and ability to provide your services to people with disabilities in an effective and inclusive manner.
